Golden Week
Not a whole lot going on . . . Megumi played with dirt out on the balcony all day, getting the planters ready for this year’s basil crop, and I corrected a bit of homework. We ate okonomiyaki for dinner . . . way too much of it. Good stuff, though, especially with the tororo mixed into the batter. (Some people add a bit for that extra hidden flavor; we tossed in about half a yam’s worth.)
Tomorrow is Sunday . . . and then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are vacation days as well. We might head up to Okutama and do some hiking. But other than that the extent of our holiday plans is “oh, that beer in the fridge looks pretty good.” It’s a nice way to take time off.
