Free trip to Kobe!
The Japan Association of Translators is once again organizing a translation contest with a nice prize for the winners. There are J to E and E to J divisions. Click here for information on the contest. Last year one of my students won the J-E top prize, a free trip to Chicago to take part in the IJET conference held there. (Unfortunately her schedule didn’t let her collect that prize.)
From the link: “The First Place winner in each category will receive a free trip to IJET-17, to be held June 17-18, 2006 in Kobe, Japan, including registration fee, round-trip ticket, and hotel accommodations (3 nights), plus a one-year membership in JAT.” Any up-and-coming translators out there want a trip to Kansai?
The alumni site
So I blew a day of work and played around with the high school alum site.
Any ASIJ folks out there? Come by and visit . . .
